General Terms and Conditions
By engaging Boosted Diesel Services for any mechanical repairs, performance upgrades, or any vehicle services, the customer agrees to abide by these terms and conditions.
Quotes, Payment and Vehicle Release
Quote Validity
Any amount quoted is an estimate based on the information available at the time of issuance. Prices quoted are subject to change based on the standard cost of parts and labor.
Price Adjustments
Final pricing may vary based on the actual work required, which may differ from the initial assessment. This includes, but is not limited to, additional work or materials identified after the quote was provided.
Supplier Price Changes
The quoted amounts may also be adjusted to reflect changes in product prices from individual suppliers. This includes any increases or decreases in supplier costs between the time the quote is issued and the actual purchase of materials.
Customer Approval
If there are any changes to the quoted amount that exceed [a certain threshold or percentage, e.g., 10%], the customer will be notified for approval before additional charges are incurred.
Acceptance
By accepting a quote, you acknowledge, agree and understand that the final amount billed may differ from the quote provided.
Payment and Vehicle Release
All work undertaken requires full payment before the vehicle is released to the customer. Boosted Diesel Services reserves the right to withhold the vehicle until all invoices are paid in full.
Transport
Any costs incurred from towing or transporting the vehicle to or from Boosted Diesel Services are the responsibility of the customer and are not covered under any warranty.
3. Warranty Coverage
Standard Engine Builds
: Boosted Diesel Services provides a 12-month or 20,000km warranty (whichever comes first) on standard engine builds with 20psi boost pressure for long block and mechanical assembly components.
Performance Engines:
Engines running greater than standard power output are covered by a limited warranty, depending on the specific modifications. This limited warranty is determined at Boosted Diesel Services' discretion.
Installation by Customer or Third Party:
If a rebuilt engine is provided to the customer for installation by either the customer or a third party, evidence of oil pressure at startup must be provided to Boosted Diesel Services. This includes video or photographic proof demonstrating proper oil pressure on initial startup.
Failure to provide this evidence will void all warranty claims.
4. Warranty Claims and Requirements
- Warranty claims are only valid if the vehicle is inspected and reported on by Boosted Diesel Services prior to any repair work being done. Warranty repairs are not authorized for third-party service providers unless pre-approved in writing by Boosted Diesel Services.
- The warranty only covers the cost of defective parts. Labour, transport, and towing costs are not covered under the warranty unless explicitly approved by Boosted Diesel Services.
- Boosted Diesel Services will not be liable for any parts supplied by the customer, and no warranty is provided on such parts in accordance with Australian Consumer Law (ACL).
5. Exclusions and Limitations
Warranty does not cover:
- Any parts supplied by the customer.
- Any component removed and reinstalled during engine rebuilds or conversions (e.g., hoses, steel lines, clutches).
- Performance engines with non-standard power outputs beyond the limitations set by Boosted Diesel Services.
- Damages caused by misuse, improper use, negligence, or failure to adhere to service schedules or maintenance requirements.
The customer acknowledges that performance upgrades or modifications may affect the manufacturer’s warranty and any insurance policies held by the customer.
6. Service and Maintenance Requirements for Warranty Validity
To maintain warranty coverage, the following service schedule must be adhered to:
- First Service: Must be completed at 1,000km, including an oil and filter change.
- Ongoing Service: Oil and filter changes every 5,000km thereafter.
- Engine Run-In: Limited idle time is required during the engine run-in period, and a loaded 250km drive is recommended.
Failure to comply with this maintenance schedule may void the warranty.
7. Third-Party Extended Warranties
- Any third-party extended warranties are only valid for parts and do not cover labour costs. Extended warranty claims are subject to the discretion of Boosted Diesel Services.
8. Dispute Resolution
- In the event of any disputes regarding services or warranty claims, the customer agrees to first attempt to resolve the matter directly with Boosted Diesel Services. If a resolution cannot be reached, the dispute may be escalated to external arbitration.
